Based on a German Folk Song, Stately Mansion is correlated to the FIRSTDIVISION BAND METHOD, Level Two. It starts out in Bb in 4/4 time withthe statement of the theme in the clarinets and saxes. The key changes toEb with the theme in the low brass. The D.S. al Coda changes back to theoriginal key with the theme in the clarinets and saxes, and the full bandfinishes the piece with fragments of the theme in the Coda.
